Caring for the whole person, not just the disorder.

When patients visit North Texas Precision Pain Care in Frisco, you not only want appropriate and effective treatment, you also want your condition explained clearly by a physician so you can actively participate in your treatment plan. No two patients are the same, so there are always treatment options.

By talking with patients-understanding your life circumstances, healthcare budget and wellness viewpoint, we guide you in choosing the treatment option that is best for you.

Specialized care from a Physiatrist

As a Physiatrist, a specialist in rehabilitation medicine, I am trained in musculoskeletal issues, sports injuries and neurological disorders such as spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain trauma, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and others. I bring all of this knowledge and medical experience to the specific practice of pain management, in which I am board-certified. My goal is to improve your quality of life.

I consider each patient's medical condition from seven clinical viewpoints:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Physical Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Orthopedics
  • Osteopathic Manipulations
  • Acupuncture
  • Social/Psychological interactions with your condition

Using all of this clinical training and experience, we work together to discover and treat the source of your problem.

Begin with evaluation

Four kinds of evaluation are key to understanding and treating your health issue. They include:

  • Evaluation of your posture, since abnormal posture can lead to substantial pain
  • Range-of-motion study to determine any excessive muscle tightness or laxity, which can be treated easily
  • Physical examination to further evaluate your disorder
  • Listening to your story, for you know your disorder best; your physician learns from listening

Having completed a residency and board certified in Physiatry (Physical Medicine), two fellowships, one in pain management, one in orthopedics, I process all of these evaluation steps to determine your most effective treatment options.

Your medical advantages

Not all Physiatrists have the training to properly evaluate orthopedic issues, but my fellowship in Orthopedic Sports/Musculoskeletal Medicine enables me to help determine whether or when surgery is indicated.

I offer my patients a second advantage: Most physicians specializing in Pain Management have only received fellowship training in spinal disorders. Many have no training in musculoskeletal issues, which can lead to misdiagnosis and errors in treatment.

I provide you the best possible combination of whole-body knowledge and am committed to treating each of my patients individually and with the highest ethical standards.
